Texas has only one officially recognized clothing-optional public park: Hippie Hollow Park, located on the shores of Lake Travis near Austin, Texas. While many people refer to it as a “nude beach,” it is actually a scenic lakeside park rather than a Gulf Coast beach.
If you’re dreaming of a clothing-optional ceremony along the Texas Gulf Coast, it’s important to know that North Padre Island (Padre Island near Corpus Christi), Port Aransas, Rockport, Mustang Island, and Padre Island National Seashore do not have officially designated public nude beaches.
For couples who wish to celebrate a clothing-optional wedding, the best option is to choose a private venue or private property where everyone attending understands and is comfortable with the setting.
